The Commonwealth + Nashville Design Week
Join top creative leaders in Nashville for an intimate conversation about design in a rapidly growing city.
When it comes to expanding the reach of The Commonwealth, I always look for ways to partner with others with similar purpose. As a former leader and director within the Nashville Design Week ranks, this was a great opportunity to encourage cross-pollination between the larger design and creative community and The Commonwealth membership.
This year, I have put together a stellar roster for an event that speaks to what many of us are concerned about, where we place a great deal of interest, and that which we seek to make in impact in.
Design For the Long Game
Nashville is evolving at such a rapid rate that it can be hard to keep up. As designers, leaders, and entrepreneurs, it can be tempting to want to capitalize on this growth, possibly losing sight of your vision and passion as a result. To that end, I am gathering 7 creative and seasoned entrepreneurs of diverse fields who can speak directly to growing and thriving in this city.
This event will offer each attendee a unique experience of sitting at the table with one of these creatives in intimate conversation regarding designing for not only what is happening now, but how to keep your values, passion, and vision intact long term.

I am thrilled to present this incredible and stylish cadre of table hosts including: Nick Dryden, Founder and Principal of Dryden Studio; Derrick Moore, Founder of Slim + Husky’s; Savannah Yarborough, Founder of SAVAS, Don Hardin, Founder and Owner of Don Hardin Group; Ethan Summers, Found of Oil / Lumber and Ethan Kiyoshi Furniture; Cameron Weiss of Weiss Watch Company; and Q Taylor, Founder and Co-Owner of Sinema and 8th & Roast. Each panelist will undoubtedly provide beneficial insight on how to tailor your specific design style to this rapidly growing city.
